About Us

COFFEE PHILOSOPHY

Our co-founder, Tony's, passion for coffee springs from his time in Ethiopia, where he lived on coffee farms for extensive periods and worked closely with coffee farmers to boost both the quality and yield of their crops. During this period, Ethiopian elders emphasized the importance of fostering a community built around coffee. They believe that coffee acts as a stimulant, providing the focus and energy needed to pursue life's goals. These principles deeply resonated with Tony and became the cornerstone of his coffee operations, which he launched in Denver, Colorado, in 2008 by importing Ethiopian coffee into the United States.

By 2018, Tony's journey led him to open his first coffee shop in Los Angeles, California, Hot and Cool Cafe. This venture allowed Tony to recreate the sense of community he experienced in Ethiopia, offering a space for human connection, cultural exchange, and shared moments over a cup of exceptional coffee.

Our coffee is hand-picked and ethically sourced to meet our goal of of both quality and sustainability, ensuring that every cup not only tastes exceptional but also supports farmers and communities around the world. By choosing coffee that is hand-harvested, we celebrate the meticulous care and craftsmanship that goes into each bean, often resulting in a more flavorful and unique coffee profile. Ethically sourced coffee goes beyond fair trade certifications to support practices that prioritize the welfare of workers, promote environmental sustainability, and empower local farmers. This means paying fair wages, supporting regenerative farming methods, and ensuring that coffee production benefits the entire supply chain.

Our beans are locally roasted by our sister company, Crenshaw Coffee Company. For more information on our coffee, please visit Crenshaw Coffee Co at
